hp型谱元法的最新进展、应用及展望

标题文章发表为Journal of Hydrodynamics第30卷第一期第一篇文章,是Journal of Hydrodynamics和Springer Nature合作以来的首篇OA的文章。

本文主要介绍了hp型谱元法的最新进展及其在流体动力学中的应用,并简要讨论了该方法的数值优势和鲁棒性。特别强调了局部和全局去混淆误差技术和谱消去黏性(Spectral vanishing viscosity,SVV)方法的最新发展。针对SVV,对于高雷诺流体流动,强调了hp型谱元方法中基于SVV的隐式大涡模拟概念。正如文中所述,hp型谱方法结合了经典的h型有限元方法的处理复杂几何的灵活性与谱方法的高精度数值特性。其在粗的有限元网格上采用分片的高阶正交多项式形式的基函数进行数值逼近,例如勒让德(Legendre)或切比雪夫(Chebychev)多项式,这些多项式被修改以适应展开的空间整体C0连续性。从数值计算与理论上讲,通过增加多项式阶数p,采用hp型谱元法可以获得高精度解和快速收敛。特别地,在一定的正则性假设下,可以获得数值解和精确解之间指数下降的逼近误差 。在实施hp型谱元法上,开源项Nektar++已经为实现hp型谱元法提供了一个有效的框架。在这个框架下,Nektar++可以为工程和科学应用中的大范围物理过程的建模提供支持。为了实现高精度瞬态问题的模拟,Nektar++中除了实现高阶hp型谱元空间离散外,也实现了高阶时间积分方法。为了适应具有曲线或者曲面的计算几何上的高精度计算,与Nektar++捆绑在一起的网格生成实用软件NekMesh可用于高阶网格的生成,并支持多种高阶网格生成方法。现在,hp型谱元法已经被应用于许多基本和实际工程流动问题的仿真研究中。此文中,简要描述了hp型谱元法的公式,并重点介绍了hp型谱元法的使用,概述了其在计算流体动力学中的应用,特别是在过渡流和海洋工程中的应用。最后,讨论了在更复杂的科学和工程应用中使用hp型谱元方法而需要克服的一些主要的挑战。
